My brother and me we joined the cycling team RSV Dueren in March 2011. This is the first time that we are members of a cycling team. Scroll down for my blog.  The cycling association of the state of North Rhine Westphalia invited all cycling girls of the state to a weekend of training on the indoor track in Kaarst Buettgen on March 26th - 28th, 2011. This was the the first time that I tried out cycling on a track. First it was kind of scary, but after I figured out the bike without brakes and with only one gear it was so much fun that I didn't want to stop riding. Here are some pictures of the weekend and an article published in the NRW website.     April 17th - Rund um Dueren. This was my first bicycle race in Germany. Boys and girls started together and I became 7th after a super fast race and an almost crash in the last corner.  May, 8th 2011 - Duelmen, State Championship of North Rhine Westphalia - Road After several races competing against boys this was the first girls U15 race. Difficult circuit with lots of uphill over 22.4 km. The race was a lot of fun, the girls are very strong, but I could place 6th.  June 5th, 2011 - Remscheid Luettringhausen - Road Race A U15 girls race on a 30.4 km circuit. I finished 4th after a great final sprint against Magdalena Maigre' over the third place. (But within the yob 98 I finished 1st - my little win). This was the best race I've had since we've been in Germany. Read the "Duerener Zeitung".   June 23rd, 2011 - Cologne = championship of the regions Aachen, Cologne, Duesseldorf,... It was a very fast race on an one km lap. After 15 laps the race was over and in a tight final sprint for the third overall place I finished fourth again, but within the region Aachen I finished second and could enjoy an award ceremony in Germany for the first time.   Katharina Quassowski from Stolberg and me at the award ceremony. July 3rd, 2011 - Heinsberg - 12km race against the U13 boys. Only some cm and I could have been on the podium, so I became 4th in a tight final sprint and received the honor to be pictured with the boys.  July 10th, 2011 - Bonn Classics - The race was a 11,4 km long U15 girls race with difficult climbs, something for me. We started together with the U13 boys and after two laps I could ride in a small group of three behind a two boys leading group. In a huge sprint I missed the win by only some cm and became second of the girls (4th overall).  Katharina, Magdalena and me at the awards. 
July 12th - Simonskall - Hill Climb Championships of the region Aachen - 3,2 km climb up on the narrow road. I WON! Pictures will follow! July 19th - Echtz - Individual Time Trial Championships of the region Aachen - 10km on a 3,3 km lap. The weather was really ugly! I could win again!  At the start.  July 23rd, 2011 - Witten - U15 girls race, 12 laps - 21 km. Since we started with the U15 boys the race was difficult, but I placed 2nd - HURRA!  Award ceremony with Jenny and Lorella. August 13th, 2011 - Bünde - Individual Time Trial State Championships of NRW The race was on a 4,6 km lap. We had to go two laps and I finished 6th.  OK, lets go!  August 20th, 2010 - Velbert - Hill Climb Championship of the State of North Rhine Westfalia A 5,2 km climb, we had to ride it twice, times got added together. I loved it so much and it reminded me on the Colorado State Chmpionships last year. Best of all: I finsihed second.  Warm-up at the start.  Awards with Philline and Jaimy-Ann. September 10th, 2010 - Mühlheim - 22km on a 1.1km lap Great race, I placed third.   Philline, Jenny and me at the awards ceremony.  November 2011 - I rececived the award for winning the "Best Racer" - Cup of the cycling region Aachen....  ... and I qualified for the state team of Northern Rhine Westfalia!  CLICK HERE FOR RESULTS!
